About Us

    My name is Melessia Amankwaa, and I’m the founder of S’Mel, a luxury candle brand inspired by my love for all things beautifully scented—from body care to home fragrances.

My passion for candle making began while planning my wedding. I wanted to create a meaningful wedding favour that truly reflected me, so I decided to handcraft candles for my guests. With the help of my wonderful family, I poured each candle with care, finding joy and peace in every step—from mixing fragrance oils and pouring the wax to designing custom labels. I knew my guests would appreciate them because of the love and effort I put into every detail.

After the wedding, I was overwhelmed by compliments about how beautifully the candles burned and how amazing they smelled. That positive feedback sparked something in me—it became the foundation for my second creative journey. After nearly two years of research, testing, and refining, I’m proud to introduce S’Mel—a brand born out of love, creativity, and a deep appreciation for luxurious, high-quality scents.

Although S’Mel was created with my personal story in mind, it was designed for everyone to enjoy.
